Mumbai: Eyes were on the MS Dhoni vs Virat Kohli face-off as Royal Challengers Bangalore met Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday at the DY Patil stadium. While the two superstars did not walk out together for the toss, yet they were always in the spotlight.
A video of Kohli’s dismissal has now surfaced online which shows how Dhoni changed the field and that is exactly where the ex-RCB captain hit the ball and was caught. Dhoni asked the fielder to go to square leg from fine leg. All Kohli could score was a run.
Short of a length delivery on the leg stump, it bounced extra than Kohli expected and the pull shot hit high on the bat. The ball went to deep backward square leg where Shivam Dube swallowed it up.

Chennai eventually registered their first win of the season as they beat Bangalore by 23 runs.
Earlier in the day, Chennai posted a mammoth 216 for four as Robin Uthappa (88 off 50 balls) and Shivam Dube (95* off 46 balls) starred for the CSK side. Most of the RCB bowlers were on the expensive side with Wanindu Hasaranga picking up a couple of wickets.
Chasing 217 to win, RCB lost their top-three inside the powerplay and that set them back early. Glenn Maxwell came out all guns blazing but fell victim to his nemesis Jadeja once again (7th time in T20s). At 50/4, RCB were staring down the barrel and that’s when the duo of Suyash Prabhudessai and Shahbaz Ahmed stitched a half-ton partnership scoring at a brisk pace.
Maheesh Theekshana picked up four wickets and was the best bowler in display in yellow.
